Say GOODBYE Shiela

The people of Springfield have at least said NO to another City Council candidate which mirrors what we have in there already. In my humble opinion Mr Steven Reed was soundly told NO more spending critters in office. Ms Shiela Wright received more votes then Mr. Reed which allows her to move forward into the run-off election with Cynthia Rushefski.
I don't know much about Ms. Rushefski except she has held different positions within the Democratic Party and was a District Attorney here in Springfield. Just the FACT that she is a Democrat is almost enough to scare me away from voting for here. I don't know too many "D's" which aren't hellbent on destrying the "few" remaining liberties that the "R's" have allowed us to retain.

Now Mr. Reed tried unsuccessfully to have the City of Springfield audited a few years back and now tries to lay claim that he spent countless hours on the successful audit of last year. As a member of the signature gathering process I don't seem to recall him out there in the heat getting any sigs to get this done. But hey that is past history, he is now a write in candidate for mayor. So far we have the "GOOD" ole boy in Carlson, the "BAD" in Mr.(I want to spend more tax dollars to get AMTRAK into Springfield)Reed. The only lacking movie title is the "UGLY", and NO I'm not throwing my hat in the ring for the trifecta.

Personally the only candidate worth supporting is Doug Burlison, a hard working native of this area and a former member of our armed services. Mr Burlison is quite active in the community as he volunteers his time for the Adopt-a-Stream and Adopt-a-Street program to help keep our community clean. There are various other organizations which Mr. Burlison lends his time in support of and for that he is to be commended.

He may not look like much, however a COMMON SENSE approach on the City Council is quite lacking, and Mr. Burlison can be the thorn of which we need to get rid of the lock step council.

You'll notice that I don't trust anyone that carries a "D" or "R" after their political identity.
As for supporting you I left an e-mail question on your website which you have still left unanswered and thus my supporting you was quite an easy quandry. Those that won't answer the question needent to be trusted.
