I don't know the story behind Chance but I can tell just by your post, he was special to you. Sorry for your loss.
There are a few previous post on Chance as we led up to this point.
Chance was brought home at six weeks old and spent almost 15 years with our family he will sorely be missed and leaves a void in the heart that won't be repairable.
Tom, I'm sorry for your loss. You know I lost my little Spikey just a few months ago and then my Mom shortly after that. Staying busy and working helps me a lot in coping. I think it helps too, having the time of knowing that they are not going to be much longer with us. I knew Spike was on his way out for a long time but you are absolutely right, they are simply not replaceable.
Jackie,
It is rare when I become completely attached to an animal, however Chance was completely different and since he was part of the family for almost 15 years that made parting ways that much more harder.
